Driveway cleaning
Driveway cleaning across the Wirral.
A driveway is the first thing anyone sees. Moss, algae and years of traffic film build up slowly enough that you stop noticing, until the day it is cleaned.
A clear quote. A clean finish.
What is involved
Different surfaces, different treatment.
Most Wirral driveways are block paving, concrete or tarmac, and each behaves differently under a lance.
We cover the whole of the Wirral for this, including West Kirby, Hoylake and Heswall. Tell us your postcode and we will confirm the detail for your street.
01
Block paving
Cleaning lifts the growth from the joints as well as the face of the block, which is why the sand usually needs replacing afterwards. We will tell you if yours does.
02
Concrete and imprinted
Concrete takes a firmer approach than most surfaces. Imprinted concrete has a sealed layer that we treat more carefully, since aggressive cleaning strips the seal.
03
Tarmac and stone
Tarmac is softer than it looks and can be scarred by too much pressure held in one place. Natural stone varies enormously, so we check it before choosing a method.
Good to know
What to expect on the day.
Driveway work is wet, and it moves a lot of dirt around. Knowing the practical side in advance makes the day easier.

Access and water.
We need to reach the whole area and, for most jobs, an outside tap. Tell us at quote stage if neither is simple.
- 02
Cars and pots.
Anything standing on the driveway needs to be moved before we start, including planters and bins.
- 03
Re-sanding.
Where block paving joints are washed out, kiln dried sand goes back in. We confirm whether that is part of your quote before you agree it.
Good questions
Driveway questions.
Often booked with Patio cleaning, Roof & render care, Gutters & fascias.
Will cleaning damage my block paving?
Not when the pressure and technique suit the block. The risk with block paving is stripping the jointing sand rather than harming the block itself, which is why re-sanding usually follows a clean.
Do you seal driveways afterwards?
Sealing is a separate job and it is not right for every surface or every condition. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you whether it suits yours.
How long does a driveway take?
It depends on the size, the surface and how much growth has taken hold. We give you a realistic time when we confirm the scope, not an optimistic one.
